TexasHealthcarePlans is a lifesaver. I’m a very healthy young adult with no family history of major illnesses. My work provided an indemnity plan, but not major medical group coverage. Because of my age, no previous disease history, and the cost, I had not sought out an individual coverage plan through a traditional insurance provider. Then I was diagnosed with aggressive colon cancer. The kind of medical treatment I needed was not something an indemnity plan was even going to touch, and because I had a pre-existing condition now, I wasn’t eligible for any normal insurance program through the major providers, since it was not open enrollment. I heard about Tim through coworkers at my job, never having heard of health insurance brokers before, and my mother (a nurse) gave him a call. He saved my life in a very real way. Tim was able to find a marketplace plan that, while not perfect, would cover my doctors, my chemo, and all of my other treatments until open enrollment came around and I could get into a more traditional plan. I would have had to wait the better part of a year to even start treatment if it had not been for Tim. And now that open enrollment has come around, Tim has been instrumental in finding me an even better plan through a major medical provider outside of the marketplace that will accept me with my diagnosis. There are not enough thank yous in the world for how Tim has helped us through this very unexpected and difficult time.
